Toyota Camry maintenance in Dubai stays cheap if you buy the right year and engine. A Toyota Camry in Dubai is still one of the cheapest family sedans to keep — if you buy the right year and engine. An XV50 from the mid-2010s, an XV70 2.5 petrol, an XV70 V6 or Hybrid, and a new XV80 do not cost the same to own. This guide maps 2026 UAE asking prices against service and fuel, then names the economy option and the best price-to-value Camry.
Figures are market ranges, not a quotation. Inspect cooling, air conditioning and service stamps before you transfer the mulkiya. Vesla Auto Services Center in Ras Al Khor sees these generations every week, usually for the same summer jobs: weak AC, a tired 12-volt battery, and oil that was stretched through July traffic.

The Camry generations that matter in the UAE
XV50 (about 2012–2017) is the last old-shape Camry. Soft ride, simple 2.5 four-cylinder, parts in every Sharjah and Ras Al Khor store. Used prices often sit from the low twenties to around AED 35,000 depending on year and accident history. The cabin is dated. The bills are AC compressors, batteries and dusty filters — not rare modules.
XV70 (2018–2024) is the sweet spot on Dubizzle and dealer lots. TNGA chassis, better safety kit, 2.5 petrol as the volume engine, plus SE, LE/XLE, a rare 3.5 V6 Grande and Hybrid. Typical 2026 asks: 2018–2019 2.5 S or SE about AED 38,000–55,000; 2020–2021 about AED 56,000–75,000; 2022–2023 about AED 72,000–92,000; a late V6 Grande can near AED 110,000.

The 2.5 is the engine that keeps Camry cheap. The V6 feels faster on the Abu Dhabi highway and drinks like a small SUV in Sheikh Zayed queues. Hybrid examples are fewer on the used lot but they are the ones that cut the fuel line if the battery health check is clean.
XV80 (2025– ) is the current generation. New petrol 2.5 started near AED 109,900 for the E and about AED 136,900 for the GLE. Hybrid XLE and GLE launched around AED 123,900–139,900. Brochure economy is roughly 17 km/L petrol and the mid-to-high 20s km/L on the hybrid cycle. Real Dubai traffic will be lower. The hybrid still wins fuel if you keep the car.

Toyota Camry maintenance in Dubai: real service costs
Toyota parts are everywhere, which is why a Camry undercuts most mid-size rivals after year four. Independent annual routine on a 2.5 petrol is often AED 1,200–2,500 if you stay on oil, filters and a brake inspection. A realistic owner buffer that includes AC gas, a battery every two or three summers, and one set of pads is AED 2,000–4,000 a year. Dealer packages cost more and make sense while warranty stickers still matter.

Toyota UAE points Camry and Corolla owners at 5W-30 full synthetic in this climate. Change the cabin filter before June. Rinse sand off the condenser if cooling is weak only at idle. Hybrid high-voltage work stays with a dealer or a hybrid-capable shop. The 12-volt battery and the cabin AC still fail like any other Camry in August.
Fuel is where engines split. A 2.5 petrol in mixed Dubai use often lands near 10–13 km/L. The V6 is thirstier and is a poor economy choice unless you already own it. A healthy hybrid can cut several thousand dirhams a year if most of your kilometres are urban. Regenerative braking also stretches pad life.
Economy option: lowest five-year cash
Winner: a clean GCC 2018–2019 Camry 2.5 S or SE with service history, around AED 38,000–55,000.
You are off the first depreciation cliff of the XV70. Parts match later 2.5 cars. Insurance and tyres stay sedan-cheap. Resale is still fast if the body is original. Avoid flood cars, rebuilt fronts, and any 2.5 that climbs the temperature gauge in traffic. Fix cooling first or walk away.
An honest late XV50 2.5 is even cheaper to buy. Use it if the chassis is straight and you accept an older dash. Do not buy a cheap V6 thinking it is more car for the money unless you like fuel receipts.
Best price-to-value
Winner: 2020–2022 Camry 2.5 LE, XLE or SE, 60,000–120,000 km, GCC spec, full oil record. Typical asks sit around AED 56,000–85,000.
You get the facelift safety kit and a cabin that still looks current in 2026. Buyers still search this generation, so exit prices hold better than a tired XV50. You can spend on AC, battery and brakes and still sit far below a new E at AED 109,900.
Best long-run value if you will keep the car five years or more: a used or new Camry Hybrid. Higher purchase price, lower fuel, and Toyota hybrids have held residual value well in the UAE. Only buy hybrid after a scan and a battery health check. Guesswork on a traction pack is expensive.
A brand-new XV80 petrol is for warranty and the new face. It is not the lowest five-year cost versus a documented 2021 2.5.
Five-year sketch
Assume 20,000–25,000 km a year and independent service. These are planning numbers.
2018 2.5 SE (~AED 45,000 buy): lowest cash out the door, higher AC and battery risk, still easy to sell if GCC and clean.
2021 2.5 XLE (~AED 70,000 buy): best balance of cabin, safety kit and service cost for most Dubai families.
Hybrid used or new: pay more at purchase, save fuel every month, keep dealer or hybrid specialist for the traction battery.
New XV80 E (~AED 110,000): newest car, steepest early depreciation, lowest surprise-repair risk in year one.
Inspect before you pay
Listen to the cold start. Watch temperature in traffic with AC on maximum. Feel vent temperature at idle. Load-test the 12-volt battery. Check underbody seams for accident work. Demand service stamps, not a verbal agency story. On a hybrid, confirm the ready light, scan for codes, and do not buy on a short test drive around the block.
